Because Gopplos puppies are primarily destined for Finnish enthusiasts this site is mainly in Finnish.

We live in Varjakka (Oulunsalo), near Oulu, Finland.

Nowadays my "pack" consist my husband Jaakko, our son Veeti (born in July 2004)  leo female Gopplos Bemine ("Bertta"). I also have the breeding rights of the leo female Gopplos Ctrl-Alt-Del . She live with my mom.

I got my first Leonberger in 1998, when "Mosse" arrived to our family. She absolutely charmed me! Mosse died of heart failure when she was only ten months old.

I get my daily bread by working as an System designer, and all leisure time somehow seems to be spent with dogs; I’m the head of Leo activities in the Oulu area as well as the obedience and water trial trainer.

My first Leo litter was born in May 2002. "Olga" was inseminated. The sire of her litter is Xscooby from Belgium. The fourth litter will hopefully be born in 2010

Leonberger is rather healthy as a race, but too many Leos show lack of self-confidence and too many owners cannot control their Leos because of they are active and too big. Every dog has faults but all Leos that I’ve bred have been healthy, both physically and psychologically. And as close to the breed standard as possible.

Because my dogs are working dogs, I truly have a great regard for their good mental and physical qualities as well as good health!

I do not use dog for breeding if he/she has an "essential fault"! Breeders should be able to recognise all faults of all dogs, even their own. This also goes with faults that the outsiders cannot see.

I never know what kind of puppies will come from a combination but I always try my very best.
